Cheyenne 400LS Private Jet Charter

The Cheyenne 400 LS is quite an impressive aircraft in terms of power, a real “sports car.” It’s essentially a turboprop masquerading as a light jet, with the exception of cabin space. The cabin is very similar to that of a King Air, but with a bit lower ceiling and narrower aisle. Typical interior arrangements will utilize four captain’s chairs in a club section with two more captain’s chairs aft or one captain’s chair aft and a small two-seat divan in place of the other. Other comforts include the ability to maintain a 10,000 foot cabin up to altitudes in excess of 35,000 feet, and a sea-level cabin to 18,000 feet.

The Pratt and Whitney PT6A-41 engines provide the same power as a Beech 1900 airliner, but on a much smaller package. The Cheyenne 400 LS is capable of getting off the ground in less than 2,500 feet, cruising at 38,000 feet, and can maintain a climb rate of nearly 1,000 feet-per-minute…with one engine inoperative. With its ability to get to the higher flight levels, the airplane can take advantage of the fuel benefits that come along with the territory. This allows the 400 LS to cruise for about 2,200 nautical miles before refueling, making it able to fly coast-to-coast with one fuel stop.

The Cheyenne 400 LS was the airplane of choice for Chuck Yeager to set records for turboprop performance. These records even outpaced Cessna’s Citation light jet line of the early 1980s. It is a high-performance and economical airplane that can get you into light jet territory for far less cost, as long as you don’t mind being a bit cramped.
