The Hawker 850XP is the second largest of the Hawker series of business jets, which includes the Hawker 700, 800, 900, 1000. It is a twin engined mid-size jet built by Hawker Beechcraft certified in 2006. The Hawker 850XP is designed with the latest improvements in technology, the Hawker 850XP climbs faster, goes farther, and performs better than its predecessor, the 800XP. The 850XP is one of the best-selling midsize business jet. With the addition of winglets in the 850XP modeled the overall performance was improved by creating a more aerodynamic aircraft. The 850XP climbs to 39,000 feet two minutes less than its predecessor and can travel an additional 100 nautical miles. It completes cross-country trips such as New York to San Francisco with out the need for a fuel stop.

With less drag the aircraft is capable of traveling against headwinds at a high-speed cruise of up to 448 ktas, all the while using less fuel. Another very significant feature of the 850XP is its upgraded avionics system. The 850XP employs the Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite, that is set-up to decrease the crew workload while increasing safety and awareness in the cockpit. The Hawker 850XP is also well known for a spacious 604 cubic ft. cabin, making it a standout in its class. Features of the cabin include stand-up headroom, LCD lighting, touch-screen seat controls, fully-berthable seats and plenty of in-cabin storage.
