The Beechcraft King Air 250 is part of a line of twin-engine turboprop aircraft manufactured by Beechcraft. The King Air line is composed of the following models: the Model 90 series, Model 100 series, Model 200 series, and Model 300 series. Since 1974 the King Air line of aircraft has been in continuous production, making minor changes and upgrades with each iteration. King Air has outlasted almost all of its competitors, with the only aircraft currently in its class being the Piaggio 180. Beechcraft has designed the King Air 250’s propellers to save weight, lower the cost of maintenance, and reduce noise by making them out of new composite material. The King Air 250 offers several advantages over that of light jets.
The main advantage is that it only needs about 35 percent of the runway required by most jets. It also premises much better in rugged, or high-altitude airports. All of that means it can access airports that are simply impossible for light jets to operate out of, often getting to and from your designated much faster. The King Air 250 adds not only additional headroom but shoulder room as well by optimizing the use of the square oval design of the cabin. With a cabin that is just over 300 cubic feet, it has more space than many other light jets.
